Carrie Smith

Carrie has called the Firelands home her whole life, having been born and raised in New London.

A graduate of New London High School, Carrie recently graduated from Ashland University, where her longtime love for music and the radio flourished through contributing both behind the scenes and on-air at AU’s radio station, 88.9 WRDL.

Carrie felt it was only natural to make the transition from station intern to an on-air role at WLKR after graduating college, continuing to live and work in the community that raised her and contribute to local community-oriented radio. In addition, Carrie is also now the Promotions Coordinator for the Radio Ranch, handling all things promotions and giveaways for the stations!

In her free time, Carrie enjoys cooking/baking, reading, biking and hiking in nature, and listening to good music (her favorites are Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, Lake Street Dive, Guster, Mt. Joy, and almost anything classic country and rock!)
