The Norwalk Police Department is asking for help with finding a missing teenager. 

They are looking for 16-year-old Garek Tyler White who was last seen in Norwalk on Sunday evening.  

He was wearing sweatpants, black/gray shirt, with neon green tennis shoes. More information about his appearance can be found on the department’s Facebook page. 

Anyone with information on White’s location is asked to contact the department. 

A Vermilion woman has been taken into custody after turning herself into authorities. 

According to the Sandusky Register… 

28-year-old Jamie Gabel turned herself in to the authorities Monday morning following a multiple day search for her.  

She faces numerous charges including complicity to having weapons while under disability and obstructing official business, both felonies. 

She could be facing more charges, and her bond order is currently not known. 

Senator Sherrod Brown has submitted multiple funding requests for the City of Huron to the Senate’s Appropriations Committee of Interior, Environment and Related Agencies. 

The two requests, the Drinking Water Infrastructure Project and the Municipal Marina Renovation Project require a combined funding of over $3 million.  

The requests will act as a major step forward for funding for these critical projects through the final federal appropriations measure. 

The City of Sandusky has announced they will be repaving the parking lot of the service center beginning on Wednesday. 

Repaving work at the City Recycling Center at 1024 Cement Avenue will take place from the 12th to the 18th. 

Access to the Municipal Court at the Service Center will be maintained during this time. 

A Summer Food Service Program started up yesterday in Elyria and Lorain.

The Fathers and Mothers Involved in Local Youth (FAMILY) program is providing lunches and snacks to kids free of charge.

They are partnered with eight local organizations in Elyria and Lorain.
