A Sandusky man was arrested Wednesday following a police chase. 

According to the Sandusky Register… 

34-year-old Dequavious House was charged with aggravated vehicular assault, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, OVI and vandalism. Each of these charges are felonies. Additionally, he was charged with several misdemeanors.  

After 11pm on Wednesday night an officer spotted House speeding and pulled him over in a business parking lot. House then drove away from the traffic stop and crashed into a light pole. 

He then fled again after backing into a police vehicle and speeding over some train tracks.  

House’s vehicle was disabled, and he was detained after he crashed into another motorist.  

House and that motorist were both transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.  

Roadwork continues in Norwalk. 

According to Norwalk-Ohio-News.com, work on Norwalk’s West Main Street construction project is continuing with the installation of a storm sewer in the eastbound lane of West Main, from Old West Main Street to Marian Drive. 

Local 4-H programs have received nearly $61,000 in donations.

This money, donated by Firelands Federal Credit Union, will go towards nearly 130 different projects in the area, including some presented at the Erie and Huron County Fairs.
