The Cleveland Guardians won Sunday at Toronto, 7-2…

-Shane Bieber went 7 innings…allowing just 2 runs, with 6 strikeouts.

-Amed Rosario and Austin Hedges each drove in 2 for the Guards.  

-Cleveland won 2 of 3 at the Blue Jays over the weekend; and now lead the AL Central by 2 ½ games.  

-The Guards host Detroit today in a traditional doubleheader, with the first pitch of Game One at 3:10 pm on 95.3 WLKR.

It was a near perfect game…

-Tampa Bay pitcher Drew Rasmussen lost his perfect game bid by allowing a double on the first pitch he threw in the 9th inning in the Rays 4-1 win over Baltimore on Sunday.

In Frontier League independent baseball, the Lake Erie Crushers lost 6-0 to Florence last night…

-The Crushers are off today.  

NFL Preseason yesterday…

-Las Vegas beat Minnesota 26-20.

NASCAR Cup Series at Richmond on Sunday…

-Kevin Harvick won his second straight race, with Christopher Bell in second place and Chris Buescher finishing third.
